Serving Maine and Northern New England

UNE ASDA was formed promptly after the recent establishment of Maine's first dental school, which is one of only five dental schools in New England.  A major indication for building a dental school in Maine to begin with was the dire need in Maine for increased access to oral health care, especially in rural areas.  In spirit of the goals of the University of New England College of Dental Medicine, the students of UNE ASDA are committed to serving Maine and Northern New England.

There are plenty of community outreach opportunities which will allow the dental students of UNE ASDA to become involved.  Some possibilities, for instance, include volunteering at a local soup kitchen, creating groups to help with Habitat for Humanity, and offering a hand at community dental health clinics.
